Wakeboarding

I was working at the HSBC Wakeboarding World Cup event. Wakeboarders from all over the world gathered at Bedok Resevoir. To compete for the competition. But the first prize winner went to a teenage wakeboarder.

Here's the photos I've taken...

I like the last shot best! Great composition! As for the others, beside shooting their side profile, a close up frontal shot would make a lot of difference.

Have you tried panning shots before? Not easy but really great if you could achieve it.

Panning shots are shots taken at slower shutter speed and keeping the moving subject at a fix point in an image and pan the camera with the moving subject.

This will keep the moving subject sharp in the picture but everything(background, etc) else blur. This creates a visual effect of motion in a still picture. You can see lots of these panning shots in car brochures or sports magazines.

The toughest part is to keep the moving subject fix at a point in the image while panning the camera.

Which part you don't understand? We can clarify things on MSN. It would be easier to understand over a chat.
